Gleesons Landing Club Fishing Trip
May 1, 2016 @ 4:00 am - 4:00 pm
Note it is not the last Sunday of the month, again.
This trip is being held on May 1st due to the April long weekend the week before. The bus will depart Sefton Park Plaza Carpark at 4am with a stop at Port Wakefield on the way up and back.
Gleeson’s is predominately a venue where you would expect to catch mullet and as you would expect at this time of year mullet should be on the beaches around Yorkes. The beach has produced mullet, garfish, king george whiting and flathead while the rocks have produced leather jackets, rock fish and catfish. Best baits will be cockles, red meat, prawns, gents and pilchards. And berley!!
The George Rouse continues on this trip and our saltwater nominated species are snook, whiting (all) & flathead. Best of luck to all! We are back into the saltwater trips.
