The last trip was a mixed bag with 13 members and 1 visitor on board the fishing conditions were good for down there but a very cool breeze blew in late morning making it a bit uncomfortable.
There was one major problem, no fish! Those who fished the rocks and butlers beach had very poor days while those that fished salmon beach were kept busy with schools of salmon and salmon trout.
Our competition for the heaviest sweep, salmon and king george whiting went to Joe Librandi, Matthew Lang and no-one respectively. Matt’s salmon weighing over 2.500kg was the only fish worth mentioning.
Again thanks to all for following our protocols during loading unloading and entering the coach.
If you would like to join us on the next trip have a look at the calendar or check out our fishing club memberships.
