We had 21 members attend and the weigh in consisted of tommy roughs, rock cod, leather jackets, salmon/trout, sweep, zebra fish, drummer, moonlighter, mullet, red mullet, weed whiting and king george whiting.
The weather was suppose to be a bit ugly in the afternoon but again the fishing gods smiled upon us and apart from an eerie fog that drifted through it wasn’t a bad day. Craig Ranford had the heaviest bag in Seniors Division 1 while Stuart Roseberg ventured down from up north for the day and took out Seniors Division 2.
Peter Riddle found a school of leather jackets and cleaned up in Division 1 Veterans while Chris Pedersen took out the honours for the day in the Veterans Division 2 category. Heaviest fish for the day was tucked away in the bag of Adnan Zubcevic who also managed the most points on the day but only just. Heaviest bag junior on his first trip as a member and completing a double for the Rosebergs was Grayson Roseberg, well done!
Notable mentions: Adnan Zubcevic for the only bag out on tommy roughs and THAT drummer to Peter Riddle for the most leather jackets brought back to weigh in for many years and in the bag was his mandatory king george whiting. To Frank Kertes for bagging out on salmon trout and amazingly the only mullet caught for the day, that’s correct folks last month to the same area we caught heaps of mullet what a difference a month can make in the funny old world of fishing!
