We had 23 attend and the weigh in consisted of carp.
A good day with the sun quite warm in the morning and although a breeze blew up in the early afternoon it didn’t slow down the fish in most areas.
Frank Kertes took out honours in Veteran Division 1 with most fish and heaviest bag for the day therefore gathering most fish overall. Frank also caught the heaviest bag ever recorded on a club competition in the history of the club, well done.
Tony Mosel won Senior Division 1 with the biggest bag he has ever brought to weigh in and that weight now sits as the fourth heaviest ever caught in our history, well done,
Heaviest bag for Senior Division 2 was Shane Strachan also with his heaviest bag in the club he also had the heaviest fish of the day, well one.
Honours in the Veteran Division 2 catergory went to Brian Aldcroft nothing special about that except that he actually won and never broke anything!
Notable mention goes to (apart from the record breakers above) a visitor on the trip young Oscar Klingberg unfortunately too young by our rules to join the club but gave a glimpse of what we might be in store for in the coming years. His catch of the day was a carp that tipped the scales and bet the Shane for heaviest fish of the day, well done Oscar!
Congratulations to all our winners and thanks to David from Banksia Tours for the trip there and back.
If you would like to join us on the next trip have a look at the calendar or check out our fishing club memberships.
