Northern Districts Angling Club

Nappers Bridge 30th October 2016

Attended by 25 members and 1 visitor the weigh in consisted of Carp.

The weather was on the cool side for this time of year but in the afternoon the wind was a nightmare just as well the carp were hitting like freight trains.

Winning Seniors Division 1 and taking out the most points on the day was Ben Staehr while Senior Division 2 was won by Duncan Horne.  Rob Wackett had the heaviest bag for Veterans Division 1 and Chris Pedersen bag took out the top honours in Veterans Division 2 while Bradley Harrison won the Junior Division.  Heaviest fish for the day was in Joe Librandi’s bag and no callop, bony bream or redfin were brought to scale.

Special mentions to- Ben Staehr for catching by far the heaviest bag on the day in trying conditions well done! To Taffy for catching more than one fish he’ll be able to sit back and rest now he has caught his yearly quota.

There are moments that define you and on the last trip a few of the old members took their hat off to young Oscar Klingberg who is still coming as a visitor due to our age for membership rule. Oscar lost his breakfast at the carpark before the bus left at 4am and Justin being the caring father decided to pack the gear back in the car and head home but young Oscar was going fishing. He didn’t have the best day’s fishing but you earnt a lot of respect young fella! Well done!

If you would like to join us on the next trip have a look at the calendar or check out our fishing club memberships.
